Christmas gift ideas for Foodies

I decided to write a post on gift ideas because Christmas is coming! Toronto has slowly become part of the cities around the world that has a growing number of individuals who have the growing desire to take pictures of their food before they eat them and post them on Facebook or Twitter or if they think their a real photographer then they'd post it on instagram... ANYWHO here are some of my ideas that you can use to get for some of your friends who consider themselves a foodie:

 William Sonoma Gift card
A true foodie would know how to cook. William Sonoma is like a heaven for foodies. I love walking into William Sonoma and checking out their knives. What a thing of beauty! There are so many things you can use a William Sonoma gift card for. IF you are in a rush but you want to get a good gift. William Sonoma gift card is the way to go. This way you don't need to have the hassle of getting something your friend may or may not like.

Waffle Maker
I have not met anyone who does not like a good waffle! We have over the years received an amazing waffle iron from a family friend that we use quite often! Cuisinart makes a really good waffle iron.

Food magazine subscription
Everyone loves getting things in the mail for them especially a personalized hand written letter. What foodies love even more is getting a monthly edition of their favourite food/cooking magazine! My weapon of choice is Toronto Life! It has a section on the top restuarants in Toronto, the food scene and what's going on in Toronto, and Toronto socialites! What is there not to love about this magazine!

An apron
When you cook there is hardly ever a time when you do not get a stain on your shirt from a sauce or a soup or stock or anything! Having a good quality cotton apron in a foodies arsenal is a must. My go to apron is an apron I bought when I was in San Francisco at Sur La Table (Competitor of William Sonoma). Winners has really good selection of aprons.

So there are some of my recommendations because you are the one who ultimately makes that personal connection between you and your friend for their gift. Remember Christmas is a time to spend and enjoy with your family. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
